EU Member States as well as Norway and Iceland, operates various alternative dispute resolution systems in the objective of ensuring effective consumer protection implementation. In order to ensure the highest level of consumer protection, it is guided by 1998. March. 30. adopted by the European Commission Recommendation 98/257 / EC on the principles applicable to the bodies responsible for consumer alternative dispute resolution and 2001. 4 April. European Commission Recommendation 2001/310 / CE, which provides the rules to be followed by the authorities responsible for alternative dispute resolution.

Duomenų bazė yra puikus pagalbininkas tiek vartotojams, vartotojų organizacijoms, asociacijoms, tiek ir verslo atstovams siekiantiems surasti kompetetingą instituciją nagrinėti iškilusį ginčą.
