ESF earns National Scholarship Providers Association's highest award
GLENVIEW, Ill. — The Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholars Foundation (ESF) was named Scholarship Provider of the Year by the National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) during the NSPA Awards of Excellence Dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the organization’s annual conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Evans Scholars are caddies who have earned a full, four-year tuition and housing scholarship based on their strong caddie record, excellent academics, financial need and outstanding character. This fall, a record 1,190 caddies are enrolled at 24 leading universities nationwide as Evans Scholars, and more than 12,200 caddies have graduated since the program began. The ESF was last recognized as the NSPA Scholarship Provider of the Year in 2013.
“We are so proud to have the Evans Scholar Program honored by the nation’s leading scholarship providers organization,” said ESF Vice President of Education Brian Shell. “Every day, we work toward ensuring our current and future Evans Scholars have a world-class college experience, and we are humbled to have that effort recognized. We are more energized than ever to continue bringing the life-changing opportunity of the Evans Scholarship to more young men and women across the country.”
The NSPA Scholarship Provider of the Year Award showcases scholarship providers that leverage their unique resources to strengthen college access and success, improve conditions in their communities, kick-start innovation and contribute to advancements in the scholarship industry.

The sheer impact of their work, with over 1,190 students currently supported and more than 12,000 alumni thriving, makes them truly deserving of recognition as NSPA’s Scholarship Provider of the Year.”
